David Sullivan

President

Steelton-Highspire legend Dave Sullivan, former UVA football standout, Cleveland Browns wide receiver, and nationally recognized entrepreneur, is Board President of the Roller Nation Foundation. Graduating from Steelton-Highspire in 1968, Sullivan went on to receive a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education at the University of Virginia. During his time playing football at UVA, he received All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors in 1972, All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic honors in 1972, and Honorable Mention All-American by the AP in 1972.

Dave has been a force in the business world, recognized as the Fastest-growing business (Indianapolis Business Journal, 2001); Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award winner (2002); and, perhaps the most honored recognition, inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2023.

Dave is looking forward to leading the Roller Nation Foundation and doing great things in the community.

Bill Husic

Vice President

Steelton native Bill Husic graduated from Steelton-Highspire High School, Class of 1977, and was the Valedictorian and Class President. He attended the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a BS in Mathematics in1981 and graduated Cum Laude.

He is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and has 40+ years of experience in insurance, brokerage, and employee benefits. 

He is a Producer Partner, President of the Connecticut office, and Northeast Regional Executive for Lockton Companies.

His philanthropic work includes being on the boards of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Hartford, CT; Our Lady of Calvary Women’s Retreat Center; and Apostles of Peace. Bill coordinates the LocktonCares Annual Charity Golf Outing and is Committee Chair for Catholic Charities’ annual Help & Hope Dan Hurley Breakfast.

Roller National Foundation and its related projects and programs supporting the Steelton-Highspire community is near and dear to his heart.

Jesse Evans

Board Treasurer

Jesse is a life-long Steelton resident. A graduate of Steelton-Highspire High School, Class of 1965, he was a student athlete, playing both basketball and baseball, and was a member of the 1965 Eastern State Championship basketball team. He has been a devoted supporter of Steel-High athletics and is a dedicated Rollers fan.

He started his professional career with PennDOT and then worked in computer operations at AMP. Then he worked for AFSCME for 35 years, making an impact. All along, he studied investing and business management at the Wharton School of Business.

He is deeply committed to community service and philanthropy, serving as CRO and President of the Board at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church for 15+ years, and was president of the Steelton Chamber of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he was a member of Steelton’s Zoning Board and later served as its chairman.

He proudly served six years in the PA National Guard.

He is a proud grandfather to his three grandchildren.

Jesse brings experience and passion for all things Rollers and will be a tremendous asset to the Roller Nation Foundation.

Dr. Audrey Ross-Utley

Board Member

Youth Advocate. Entrepreneur. Change-Maker.

Dr. Audrey Utley has been involved in public education for over forty years. Over the years, she has served as a teacher, principal, and superintendent of the Middletown Area School District (2002-07) and the Steelton-Highspire School District (2010-13), in 2007. The Pennsylvania Department of Education recognized her as a Distinguished Educator, and she consulted for three urban school districts needing academic support. At the request of the PA Secretary of Education, Dr. Utley served as the Chair of the Board of Control of the Duquesne City School District in Allegheny County (2008-11) and the Chief Recovery Officer of the Harrisburg School District in Dauphin County (2015-18).

Dr. Utley earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Penn State University, a master’s degree in educational administration from Shippensburg University, and a Doctorate Degree in educational administration from Widener University.

She has established a professional reputation for process improvement through the development of benchmarks for success and accountability, and the establishment of strong academic and extracurricular programs.

She has served the educational community as a member of the Penn State University Education Advisory Council and the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools. Her community service opportunities include serving on the boards of United Way of the Capital Region and the AKA Foundation of Central PA, and as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Dr. Ross-Utley brings passion and a deep understanding of education to the Foundation.

Darlene L. Cox

Board Member

Ms. Cox attended Cornell University attaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); the University of Michigan, Graduate School of Rackham, attaining a Masters of Science (MS) and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business where she received The Johnson and Johnson Executive Healthcare Certification. Darlene is an experienced healthcare Executive in multihospital systems, academic, not-for-profit, and for-profit settings, creating network-wide hospital systems and cultivating strategic partnerships with Senior Executive Leadership for innovative and strategic outcomes. Ms. Cox has successfully worked with organizations to move from Transactional Leadership to Transformational strategic outcomes. Darlene lead an early childhood learning executive team through a focused developmental series resulting in transparent fiscal and organization operations improvement.

Ms. Cox has recently been appointed as a Board Member to the Harrisburg Symphony Society Board. She has also served as a panelist for the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Foster G. McGaw Prize for Health Research and Education Trust. She is an active member of the following professional organizations: American Hospital Association (AHA), Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), American Nurses Association (ANA), Pennsylvania State Nurses Association (PASNA), New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA), President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW), Formerly a member of the University of Michigan School of Nursing Alumni Society Academy and Nominating Committee Member of the Board of Governors, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and The White House Fellows Foundation and Association (WHFFA).
